Client: MET Helmets
How do you make sure you’re speaking the right language?
Italian helmet brand, MET, have plenty of good things going on to shout about, from their partnerships with UAE Team Emirates and Trek-Drops, to the creation of one of the world's best road cycling helmets. What they don't have is a specialist cycling copywriter with English as a native language.
That's why they engaged Fausto to ensure that all their communications were consistently in the right tone, as well as being 100% accurate. Since starting our work with them in March 2017 we've helped them name products, create feature pages, produced product and packaging copy, and kept their social media channels ticking over too.
One of the first tasks we were given was to produce the copy for a feature page on Drops Cycling. The team famously has a fun and relaxed attitude to racing, which made the job quite a lot easier. We edited an interview with Suzi Zorzi, one of Drops' most experienced riders, as well as creating text to sit alongside the awesome product photography.
More recently, we supported the marketing team at MET to launch a new elite, performance road cycling helmet, the Trenta 3K Carbon. The helmet was released during the Tour de France 2017 and is worn in competition by superstars like Alexander Kristoff, Dan Martin and Fabio Aru.
Did it work?
We are entering our second year as MET's sole English copywriting agency, supporting their marketing team with all the daily output from the brand. As the relationship progresses we are working on more and more exciting projects – most of which, we're not yet allowed to speak about. Shhhhh!
While remaining tight-lipped on future plans for the brand, CEO of MET, Luciana Sala, did have this to say:
